Chief Executive Officer
Carsten is a highly experienced commercial professional having spent more than 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry building on his knowledge of oncology and rare disease. He has held a variety of international leadership roles including CEO of Abeona Therapeutics Inc, CCO at Alexion and Head of Europe at Amgen. He also holds a PhD in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry.
Chief Financial Officer
Emma has more than 10 years' experience in healthcare companies. She completed the ACCA qualification as a chartered accountant and has acted in both financial and commercial director positions, including the senior management team of EUSA Pharma prior to its acquisition by Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
Vice President of Europe
Davide is a biologist with 20 years of experience in the Health Care industry and a strong expertise in rare disease and ultra-specialistic areas. Prior to joining EUSA, Davide has held several senior leadership roles including General Manager for biotech and pharmaceutical companies such as Amryt and Exeltis, as well as senior commercial roles in highly recognised companies like Alexion and Astra Zeneca.
Vice President of Emerging Markets
Jeroen is a highly experienced pharmaceutical professional having spent his 22 years in the industry working and living on four continents holding various senior commercial leadership positions. His international roles include Area VP for Sub-Saharan Africa, President of Greece/Cyprus and Head of Primary Care Business Unit in Brazil whilst with Astra Zeneca, as well as various regional/above market roles as Commercial Director for Latam at Astra Zeneca and Andean Cluster Marketing Director at Eli Lilly.
Vice President Global Head of Regulatory and Pharmacovigilance
With more than 15 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry gained through medical director and medical affairs positions at Takeda, GSK, Actelion and Lundbeck, Jonathan joined EUSA Pharma as regional Medical Director (prior to its acquisition by Jazz Pharmaceuticals) and played a key role in the medical department as Head of International Medical Affairs.
Vice President Global Head of Human Resources
Claire worked for 15 years at Dutch Rabobank Group across various roles before joining EUSA Pharma in April 2015. She has a Master’s in Human Resource Management and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
General Counsel and Global Head of Compliance
Dev has over 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries in a variety of regional and international legal and compliance roles, in private practice in a City law firm and at UCB, Boehringer Ingelheim and Biogen. As well as being a lawyer, Dev is a qualified medical doctor and worked in various teaching hospital posts for several years.
Vice President Global Head of Technical Operations
Gary has over 20 years’ experience in biologics development with an emphasis on CMC and manufacturing operations gained primarily in a contract manufacturing setting in Europe, the United States and Asia. He has held senior management positions at Microscience, Emergent Biosolutions and most recently VHsquared Ltd where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Gary holds a first degree in biochemistry, a master’s degree in microbiology and a PhD which combined these subjects.
Vice President Global and US Medical Affairs
Rabecka is a highly seasoned and trained medical affairs leader with over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical, device and biopharma industries – having worked for large global companies including Bayer, NovoNordisk and Biogen as well as many innovative start-ups across both Orphan disease and large common, chronic disease states. She is trained in neurosciences as well as Leadership Psychology and has applied her skills in increasing positions of responsibility throughout commercial, medical, and clinical arenas.
